First Visit

At the first visit I will take a full case history, including details of your full medical history. Please make sure you inform me of any medications you maybe taking, whether prescribed by your GP or not. This will take about half the session, but I will also examine you and proceed with treatment if that is appropriate.

Please be aware that, as part of the examination and treatment, you will be asked to remove some clothing; you may prefer to wear shorts or a vest top. If you would feel more comfortable you are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you. Patients under 16 should always be accompanied.

Standard medical diagnostic tests may be used and it may be necessary to refer you to your GP for x-rays or further tests.

During the treatment, I will explain my findings and how I propose to treat your condition. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. You will be advised on the likely number of treatments you may need, but it is often difficult to be accurate at the initial consultation as prognosis depends on many factors.

Occasionally there may be some discomfort after a treatment session, similar to post-exercise aches.
